Learn how to make Sicilian delicacies and specialties from a real Italian mamma! Come with me to the local market to buy fresh seasonal ingredients and then return to the private cooking school to learn how to make traditional dishes like homemade pasta, meatballs, eggplant rolls, granita or cannoli. When you finish cooking, we will sit down and enjoy the meal with excellent local wine.
The classes are usually limited to ten people to ensure you have a personalized experience. But, since food is the love language of Italy, you can invite a friend to join us for lunch for a small fee.
The classes are in English but can also be provided in Spanish, French or Russian upon request.
Cooking Class
The class starts in the morning with a walk to the local food market with the chef, who will show you how to pick the best seasonal local products. Then you will walk the beautiful alleys of Ortigia to Ronco Scivolone, where our private cooking school is located.
We will prepare a traditional starter, such as Sicilian Caponata, and then homemade pasta or arancini for the first course. We will then make a local dessert, like cannoli siciliani, biancomangiare, granita or almond cookies, to enjoy with Moscato di Siracusa sweet wine or our homemade limoncello.

Vegetarian and gluten-free menus are available upon request. All ingredients are 100% Italian and supplied from the local market.
Let's Eat
Once we’ve finished cooking, we will sit around the table for a favorite activity in Italy: eating! Enjoy your traditional Italian lunch, served with a local wine. Finish in typical Italian style with an espresso coffee, before collecting your souvenir cooking diploma and the recipes for the dishes you made so you can make them again at home.
Memories of this exceptional food experience will last a lifetime.
